Every year local veterinarians provide assistance to our wildlife at no fee or cost.
Domestic vets do what they can to support wildlife and alleviate suffering, however, very few have wildlife training, the necessary equipment or the medicine needed. Domestic vet hospitals have the noise and smells of dogs, cats and humans, which can result in significant stress to wildlife waiting to be assessed.
Our local vets are very busy small businesses and do not receive any support from the government to treat wildlife.
