Supporter

Level 2

Community Volunteer

Perfect for helpers who want to give their time — no prior training needed, get hands-on with events, assisting with sanctuary animal care, rescues, transport and community education and research support.
Everything supporters enjoy PLUS:
  • Access to Volunteer Only uniforms and safety wear.
  • Volunteer ID Badge.
  • Access to Training.
  • Opportunities to assist with Wildlife – can rescue and legally keep wildlife for 24 hours.
  • Help on our Emergency Hotline service.
  • Invite to Volunteer only online groups, Access to Emergency Rescue Software.
  • Invites to volunteer to Social and Official events.
  • Priority access to workshops and wildlife education programs
  • Letters of recommendation or logged service hours.
  • Insurance while volunteering and voting rights.
  • Eligible to be nominated on to governing committee
    Annual Parks Pass*, magazine subscription and discounts.

Level 3

Wildlife Rehabilitators

Perfect for Experienced Carers and those who are willing to learn skills to be on the Front Line of Wildlife Rescue and Care!
Everything Community Volunteers enjoy PLUS:
  • Access to advanced rehabilitation training and certifications.
  • Use of shared resources including equipment and supplies.
  • Support to with DBCA reporting and compliance
    Access to pre-release facilities.
  • Eligibility for subsidies and support for care expenses when available.
  • Mentorship Opportunities, either Mentor or Mentee Buddies and Backups for Holidays and Emergencies.

What Happens Next?

The FAWNA Management Team meets once a month and we discuss applications and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

If your application is successful Tier 2 and 3 members can join FB Group: FAWNA Rehabilitators, Mentors and Volunteers, and you will be added to a FB Chat Group for your area.
